Bryant sponsors junior golf championship Bryant Homes has congratulated the winners of the Cavendish Junior Golf Open Championship after sponsoring the tournament for the second year running.

The housebuilder, which is currently building its Otters Brook development in Buxton next to the golf course, sponsored the one day event on the 2nd August and donated £300 for the prize money.

The championship lasted all day and consisted of a large number of young hopefuls all under the age of 18. The winner of the Junior Open was seventeen year old Tom Forder who has been a member of the club for six years.

In second place was nine year old Jay Hill from Crewe Golf Club who impressed everyone with an excellent net of 66, followed closely behind by Luke Broomhead from Tapton Park Golf Club in third place, George Bloor and Matthew Lomas in fourth and fifth place from Cavendish Golf Club and sixth place was given to Jack Gregory from High Peak Golf Club.

Nearest to the Pin was awarded to Alice Lowe from Chevin Golf Club, Best Girl awarded to Emily Waterson with a nett 69 from Tapton golf club, while Best Gross was Liam Cope from Cold Ashby Golf Club. The prizes were presented by past captain John Lomas who thanked Bryant Homes on behalf of the club and players for sponsoring the event and contributing to such an excellent prize table.

Bryant Homes sales and marketing director Anne Bagshaw commented: “We are always keen to support the local community whenever we can. It’s great to be able to play our part again in this year’s open tournament and support the junior golf enthusiasts who are keen to improve their game.”

Currently available at Bryant’s Otters Brook development is a selection of four bedroom homes priced from £229,995 including the three-storey, four bedroom Quendon which has an extra room that can be used as a study or fifth bedroom.

Bryant Homes is offering a range of schemes at the development to help make the moving process much easier including its part exchange scheme where buyers can part exchange their existing house for a new home at the development.

Anne Bagshaw, regional sales and marketing director, said: “The most stressful aspect of buying a new home is selling your current property. With part-exchange you don’t have to worry about whether your house will sell and in what timescale because we buy your home from you and so you are effectively not in a chain.”

Otters Brook enjoys a superb setting on Saint Johns Road, ideal for those looking for a peaceful and attractive location for a new home within easy reach of shops and amenities.

The development is also close to the University of Derby’s Buxton campus, perfect for families with older children who want to study closer to home.
