Find out more about HomeBuy Direct at Miller’s Heritage View Miller Homes East Midlands is inviting househunters to visit its exclusive Buxton development, Heritage View, to discover how a Government-backed initiative could help them to take their first steps on to the property ladder.

Between 11am and 4pm on September 26 and 27, Miller Homes is opening the doors to the popular development, situated on Leek Road, so that potential house-buyers can come along and learn more about whether they qualify for Homebuy Direct – a shared-equity scheme aimed at those in need of an affordable housing solution.

Homebuy Direct has been carefully structured to enable people to take an equity loan of up to 30 per cent of the purchase price which will be co-funded by Miller Homes and the Government, meaning that households earning less than £60,000 will only need to find a mortgage to cover 70 per cent of the purchase price, but can still own 100 per cent of the property.

One of the big bonuses of the scheme is that the equity loan, on which there is no interest to pay for the first five years, is only repayable after 25 years, or when the customer sells their home, whichever comes first.

Joy Goodman, sales director at Miller Homes East Midlands, which this year is celebrating its 75th anniversary commented: “With trained sales staff and independent financial advisors on hand to answer any questions, we hope this weekend will boost the confidence of potential purchasers and prove that buying a new home could really not be any easier and more affordable than it is right now.

“Property is still one of the best long term investments that you can make, and thanks to schemes such as Homebuy Direct, we believe that many more people will now be able to achieve their dreams of owning a new home.”

Situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park, Heritage View is to the south west of the spa town of Buxton and offers something for everyone, whether it’s the outdoor life or the easy commute to Manchester, Derby or Sheffield.

HomeBuy Direct is currently available on six, imaginatively laid-out two-bedroomed apartments, with prices starting from £75,565 using the scheme.

Advisors will be available throughout the weekend, between 11am to 4pm.
