Great incentives on new homes in Glenboig

30th October 2008 Print
Great incentives on new homes in Glenboig With quality-built homes at lower than ever prices and a choice of cash saving offers, now could be a better time than any to move. Award-winning housebuilder Redrow believes the combination of attractive deals being offered at all its developments across Scotland, together with the wide choice of homes available at extremely competitive prices, should work in homebuyers' favour.

Buying from Redrow also brings with it access to a network of mortgage advisers, solicitors, estate agents and other property professionals who all want one thing - to help get you moving.

Redrow's Garncroft Wynd development, situated off Inchneuk Road in Glenboig, boasts an impressive selection of three and four bedroom detached family homes, currently priced from £174,995 - free of stamp duty - to £217,500.

Enjoying a semi-rural location but still near enough to the bright lights of Glasgow city centre, the development offers the best of both worlds.

Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland) comments: "It's a time of opportunity for homebuyers to take advantage of some attractive deals that are currently available and secure themselves a brand new home that should also save them money on their heating and fuel bills.

"With some excellent incentives and unbelievably low prices available on new-build - including the four-bedroom Lea, priced below the stamp duty threshold at £174,995, it's definitely a buyer's market. On the Lea home, we can offer help with buying fees and removal costs to aid early entry.

"Our ability to help with a deposit, stamp duty and other moving costs or to maybe take a customer's existing property in part-exchange, gives new homes the edge over the second hand market in the current climate."

Buyers opting to purchase a brand new home over a second hand dwelling should save financially in the long run. At first glance an older property might appear cheaper but renovating it to the same standards as a new-build could force the purchaser to dig deep into their pockets.

Diana adds: "Our new homes come complete with a high specification, including quality fixtures and fittings, modern kitchens and bathrooms, central heating, double glazing and no need for costly renovation.

"Also at a time of rising energy prices, new homes have been shown to save people up to £556 per annum on their fuel costs* - and that was before the latest large increase in gas and electricity costs. Those savings will go a long way to help boost the amount of money people can have in their pockets or help pay the mortgage."

The homes at Garncroft Wynd include essential features of modern-day living such as en-suite to master bedroom, downstairs cloakroom/wc, a garage and, in most cases, a utility room off the fully fitted kitchen.

Part-exchange will also be considered on selected properties at Garncroft Wynd, including the four-bedroom detached Parrett priced at £199,995 and the Roadford at £205,000.

With part-exchange Redrow agrees to buy a customer's existing property, subject to criteria, taking the problem of finding a buyer out of their hands completely.

Diana adds: "Issues such as selling an existing property can often prove to be a hurdle in the search for a new home, which is why we try to help our customers as much as possible and do whatever we can to facilitate their move."
