Sizzling opening for George Wimpey at Masterton

Sizzling opening for George Wimpey at Masterton George Wimpey invited celebrity chef Nick Nairn to cook up a storm in the kitchen of their latest showhomes to be officially launched to the Fife property market this weekend (Saturday 26 April, 2008).

Putting the kitchen of the four bedroom detached Raasay showhome at the company's Masterton Lea development in Dunfermline through its paces, Nick entertained visitors at the development throughout the afternoon.

Making himself quite at home, Nick created fabulous and mouth-watering dishes that would keep guests more than happy at any impromptu house-warming party or family get-together, and the modern fully-fitted kitchen of the Raasay more than stood up to the test of chef Nick.

Masterton Lea with its extraordinary views over the River Forth and Forth Bridges, boasts the company's new Harbour range of homes, and is already proving to be a big hit. Situated off Lapwing Drive in Dunfermline, it boasts a wide mix of 101 contemporary family homes in a choice of two and three bedroom terraced homes, as well as three and four bedroom townhouses.

There is also a range of three, four and five bedroom detached homes - ensuring there's a great choice of homes available at this development to appeal to a wide range of customers. Prices currently start from £152,000 for a two bedroom terraced home.

The new showarea boasts a four bedroom detached Raasay - just one of the four bedroom detached styles available at this development, and the popular Coll A three bedroom semi detached home. The showhomes have been individually styled to show customers the full potential of the space they could be calling home, and also boast two very individual looks.

It's been great to have Nick road-test one of our showhomes as Karen Armstrong, sales and marketing director for George Wimpey East Scotland explains:

"We're all keen to learn the tricks of the trade when it comes to effortless entertaining, and Nick's cookery demonstrations has brought our Raasay showhome kitchen to life. Plus he's given us some great tips and ideas on how to create stunning and mouth-watering food in this well-proportioned modern kitchen. The way we use our kitchens has changed over the years and it's now much more of a sociable space within the modern home.

"Nick's shown that with some cracking ingredients and some creative flair, just how easy it can be for our customers can make the most of entertaining and having fun at home.

"Masterton Lea commands a stunning position at the top of Lapwing Drive, with stunning views overlooking the Forth estuary, and the Forth Bridges. Combine this location and that view, with two great looking showhomes and it's clear why customers are quite simply blown-away when they visit this development."

The new showhomes are open seven days a week from 11.30am - 5.30pm. For more information on George Wimpey's Masterton Lea development visit Georgewimpey.co.uk.
