George Wimpey launches new incentives for first time buyers George Wimpey has launched an innovative new scheme designed to make it easier for buyers to get on and move up the property ladder by only paying 75% of the price now of their new home. With no deposit to pay this scheme will appeal to first-time buyers and young families who're keen to be on the move and step onto the property ladder for the first time.

With EasyStart the buyer secures a mortgage on 75% value of the property through Halifax. George Wimpey then steps in by providing a rent and interest-free loan on the remaining 25% of the purchase price for up to ten years. From day one, the purchaser owns 100% of their new home for 75% of the price.

The scheme has just been extended to a range of two bedroom apartments at George Wimpey's Chapelwood development in Kirkcaldy where EasyStart prices start from just £78,750 normally £105,000, and a range of two and three bedroom terraced homes at our Burnside development in Kinglassie where EasyStart prices start from £93,562 normally £124,750.

Chapelwood is located in the Chapelhill area of the bustling Fife town of Kirkcaldy, and offers an extensive mix of 75 modern family homes from George Wimpey's Riverside range. As well as our range of two bedroom apartments, there's a great choice of homes available including two and three bedroom terraced and semi detached homes, as well as three and four bedroom detached homes - making it a great choice wherever you are on the property ladder.

Whilst just a short drive away, Kinglassie is an old mining village boasting a central location within the kingdom of Fife, with the larger towns of Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy within easy reach. Our Burnside development offers a contemporary mix of 75 modern family homes from our Riverside Collection. And local rail links in nearby Cardenden or Glenrothes, as well as a good road network make it a convenient choice for commuters to other parts of Fife and beyond, and this development is already proving very popular with Fife house-hunters.

"This scheme just couldn't be more straightforward," says Karen Armstrong, sales and marketing director for George Wimpey East Scotland. "The purchaser owns 100% of the property from day one and is free to make payments during the 10 years period to suit their individual circumstances - this could mean up to three smaller payments, repaying the total amount early or waiting until the end of the period.

"With no deposit no required, we've made access to this scheme even more attractive and we believe that this is just the sort of simple and effective scheme that buyers are looking for at the moment.

"We're expecting a great deal of interest from savvy buyers including first-time buyers who, despite the challenging situation in the property market are still keen to get that all-important first step onto the property ladder secured - this scheme is perfect for them."
