Persimmon makes a commitment to Harleston

4th March 2007 Print
After much anticipation, Persimmon Homes has announced the launch date of the brand new housing development, Sancroft Square in Harleston.

Opening on 17th March and with the aim of satisfying the demand for new, yet affordable housing in the area, Persimmon will be building a total of 110 properties, ranging from one bedroom apartments right through to five bedroom executive detached homes.

“We expect our Harleston development to be a great hit due to its excellent location, coupled with the fact that the selection homes we are set to build will be priced to suit the market,” comments Jon Gibbs sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia. “We pride ourselves on not only creating new homes here but also a stylish and sustainable new community which we are confident residents will be proud to be a part of.”

Sancroft Square has been carefully designed to create an attractive new neighbourhood with particular emphasis placed on encouraging wildlife and promoting environmentally friendly lifestyles. Integral to this will be the construction of eco-friendly homes which incorporate various features to ensure properties have minimum impact on the environment whilst also reducing residents’ utility bills.

Standard internal features of homes at Sancroft Square will include high efficiency gas condensing boilers, thermal storage units allowing for the use of solar panels and the use of highly effective insulation to reduce the amount of heat lost through wall cavities.

Externally, homes will benefit from water butts and bird boxes whilst the communal landscaping of the development will major on the provision of open green spaces and the planting of trees and shrubs.

Jon continues: “We know from experience that home owners today are increasingly embracing both the design and philosophy behind our eco friendly homes and Sancroft Square will be the first time we have developed a site of this scale with so many environmentally friendly features.”

“Our properties will provide positive solutions to headline national issues such as rising fuel bills and we see this as a really positive step towards creating lasting new communities which are both sustainable and environmentally friendly.”

Preliminary construction work has commenced at Sancroft Square with the build process expected to be underway in the New Year. An onsite sales cabin is now open, with a bespoke marketing suite and two showhomes planned for late Spring.

The first release of homes for off-plan sales is expected in February with early purchasers set to benefit from pre-show home prices. Visit persimmonhomes.com for further information.
