Persimmon reports it’s a buyers market in Harleston If you think buying a brand new home in 2009 won’t be possible, with the difficulties associated with obtaining a mortgage and reports of uncertainty about the housing market, then think again, as Persimmon Homes Anglia is proving that now really is a good time to buy as the company is promoting a range of unbeatable incentives to assist those wanting to move home this year.

At Persimmon’s Sancroft Square development, located in Harleston, there are a number of two through to five bedroom properties, which despite their already reasonable price tags, also come complete with a range of deals including cash discounts of up to £30,000 or a mortgage subsidy of up to £500 for two years, which is available on selected properties.

Other incentives aimed to support those struggling to obtain a mortgage include the company’s acclaimed 85 per cent shared equity scheme, where purchasers own 100 per cent of the property after initially just paying for 85 per cent of its value. They then have up to ten years interest free to pay back the remaining 15 per cent.

As well as this, the company is offering on selected plots, to pay the five per cent deposit, the associated fees involved with moving home and complete the property with flooring throughout.

Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia states: “Due to the current economic downturn, we understand the heightened difficulties now facing househunters when buying a new property, which is why we at Persimmon are going out of our way to support them in finding their all important dream home.

“Purchasers at Sancroft Square have all fallen in love with the development’s cul de sac layout and the unique specification of houses as we’re building homes to suit first time buyers and those trading up as well as a number of residents who are downsizing.”

Sancroft Square is ideally situated for residents to walk or drive to the town centre. Harleston has a range of local amenities and healthcare facilities as well as a range of restaurants and cafes.

Combining rural living in the quiet town of Harleston, Norfolk, with the excellent links to the hustle and bustle found in both Norwich and London, Persimmon Homes Anglia’s Sancroft Square could be the answer to your prayers. The development is a short drive to Diss’ railway station, which means Norwich is little over 20 minutes and London is just 90 minutes away.
