Special event for first time buyers in Norfolk

Special event for first time buyers in Norfolk A special event for first-time buyers is coming to the Blenheim Grange development near Watton in Norfolk – and with two-bedroom homes from only £46,495* it’s a great opportunity to leap onto the property ladder.

Over the this coming weekend, leading house-builder Bryant Homes and Government HomeBuy agent Orbit First Step are encouraging people to discover a new way to make owning a first home more affordable.

Using the Government’s new First Time Buyers Initiative, qualifying customers can purchase a new home at Blenheim Grange for as little as 50% of the purchase price.

The First Time Buyer initiative aims to help people get on the first rung of the property ladder by reducing their mortgage by up to 50%, but they still own 100% of the property. The Government’s contribution is interest-free for three years and then capped at a 3% interest rate.

Over the weekend, visitors can also receive free independent financial advice to help them find the right mortgage, while current homeowners can benefit from a free ‘Mortgage Health Check’, and special deals to help them sell their existing property and move to a brand new home with ease.

Among the new homes available using the First Time Buyers Initiative at Blenheim Grange is the delightful two-bedroom ‘Douglas’ house, featuring a large reception room, a well-proportioned contemporary kitchen, and a cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a large master bedroom with built-in wardrobes, a second bedroom and a good-sized bathroom.

The ‘Douglas’ is available for as little as £52,495* using the First Time Buyers Initiative, while two-bedroom coach houses and three-bedroom houses are also available.

Nicola Bullivant, Sales Manager for Bryant Homes East Anglia, says: “This special First-Time Buyer Weekend follows hot on the heels of a similar event at Blenheim Grange, which resulted in four people purchasing homes who were keen to own their own place instead of paying rent or living with parents.”

Karen Coleman, Orbit First Step Sales and Marketing Manager adds: “The First Time Buyer Initiative provides a great alternative to renting, by making home ownership affordable. It’s a sensible long-term choice.”

Blenheim Grange enjoys a peaceful woodland location on the eastern fringes of the market town of Watton, which offers shops catering for everyday needs and a choice of nursery and primary schools. For a wider choice of shopping and leisure, Thetford is an approximate 25-minute drive from the development and Norwich is approximately 30 minutes by road.

The First-Time Buyer Weekend takes place from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May at Blenheim Grange off Norwich Road, in Watton.
