Happy families at new Norwich development

Before discovering the excellent offers available from David Wilson, David and Louise Harrington had been renting a two-bedroom semi-detached house in Taverham for four years and were concerned that it could be a while before they could buy a home of their own. That’s before they went to visit The Chase, and learnt about the offers currently available to help first time buyers.
“It’s great”, says Louise Harrington, aged 32. “We have a lovely new home with reasonable repayments. Our new property has a lot more space and we are really enjoying having a garden with a lawn, which we never had before - there is even enough room for a trampoline which the children love!”
Louise continues: “Buying a brand new property has been fantastic as everything was ready for us as soon as we moved in, including the children’s wardrobes which we negotiated into the price of the property. We have so much more freedom than we did when we had a landlord, we have been able to decorate and paint and make our new home our own with lots of personal touches – the girls now share their very own Tinkerbell-designed bedroom and separate playroom.”
Buying now means that Louise is able to start studying for a fashion degree in autumn and still care for her young children, Liberty, 4 and Sienna, 11 months, without having to return to work.
David Harrington, 33, who works for a telecoms company, adds: “We never believed we would be able to afford to buy a home like this at the moment and feel that our first step on the property ladder has been a real achievement. The security of owning our own home means a lot to us.”
They purchased their new three-bedroom terraced property for £160,000, proving that now is a great time to get on the market to take advantage of historically low property prices.
The Harringtons have nothing but praise for the David Wilson sales team who guided them through their purchase and are enjoying the community feel developing at The Chase as more and more homebuyers move in.
“The Chase is a better environment to bring up our children than where we were living before – it’s a real family community. We’ve got to know our neighbours well since moving in last November and it’s such a friendly place to live” adds David.
The Chase is tucked away on the edge of the Queen’s Hills development in Norwich, set in a peaceful location backing onto private woodland. And yet it is only five miles from an extensive range of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés in Norwich and to make life very easy. Transport links are excellent. A bus service every 15 minutes links Queen’s Hills with the city centre, Norwich Station takes just 40 minutes to Ipswich and Norwich International Airport is only a 15 minute drive away.
Sales at development have been very strong and a third of the homes are already sold.
Currently available at The Chase are three and four-bedroom houses priced from £189,995.
David Wilson Homes is currently offering its popular Part Exchange Scheme. If you have an existing home to sell, David Wilson Homes can buy your property and put the value towards your new house. Part Exchange is quick, easy and saves the cost of estate agent fees and the HIP pack. You can even stay in your old home until your new one is ready.
If you are a first time buyer and finding it difficult to afford a new home, David Wilson is offering its Head Start scheme at The Chase. It allows first-time buyers to purchase a new home for just 85% of the purchase price. The remaining 15% is deferred, without interest or rent, for up to ten years or until the house is resold. Significantly, the purchaser owns 100% of the property. To add to this outstanding offer, no deposit is required and David Wilson will pay the stamp duty and legal fees up to £1,000.
Prices start from £189,995. For more information, visit Dwh.co.uk.
