The heat pumps, which have been installed at the rear of the properties, extract energy from the outside atmosphere which is transferred to heat water for the homes’ hot water and central heating system.

Simon continues: “One of the major benefits our purchasers at The Limes will see is a reduction in the cost of their utility bills in comparison to traditional oil or electrical systems currently used in Long Stratton. As the pumps run purely on electricity, homeowners won’t have to pay separately for gas or oil.”

According to the Energy Savings Trust the new heating system could save residents up to £870 per year if they’re moving from an older electrically heated home. This figure is also dependant on the size of the property they purchase and how warm they require their new house to be.

Persimmon Homes Anglia is offering a range of four and five bedroom houses in seven differing styles as well as a selection two and three bedroom detached bungalows, which are due to be released.

The development is located in the thriving town of Long Stratton, which provides a wide variety of amenities including a supermarket, shops, schools and healthcare facilities.
