A home to suit every family at Ringland Park

14th September 2009 Print
A home to suit every family at Ringland Park Barratt Eastern Counties is delighted to announce the launch of The Crescent, a stylish collection of three and four-bedroom family houses at Ringland Park near Norwich.

A stunning marketing suite and three new showhomes have recently been opened to prospective purchasers at the development for the first time.

Prospective purchasers now have to chance to view three different family homes; The Cheltenham, The Bainbridge and The Eskdale. Together, these homes showcase a great selection of outstanding homes available. Purchasers will find a home to suit them here no matter what their situation, whether they are a young couple buying their first home, an expanding family or a couple who wish to downsize after their children have flown the nest.

Rebecca Littler, Sales Director of Barratt Eastern Counties, said: “There really is a home to suit every family at Ringland Park, no matter what crossroads they might find themselves at. Homebuyers are urged to come down to view our three stunning showhomes and discuss the options available with our sales team.”

The Cheltenham is a four-bedroom townhouse featuring a large open-plan kitchen/dining room with double doors that open out onto the garden and a large first floor living area which spans the full width of the house. It also features the convenience of a large utility room and dressing rooms to both the master and second bedrooms.

The Eskdale is a three-bedroom property which would make an ideal starter home for a young family. Featuring walk-in bays with floor-to-ceiling windows to the dining room, sitting room and master bedroom, it certainly has the wow factor.

The Bainbridge is a more traditional, well thought-out four-bedroom home with a kitchen/dining area large enough for a table and six chairs, and a dual aspect living room.

Ringland Park is part of Queen’s Hills, a superb new development set in 86 acres of parkland, just five miles from Norwich.Helping people to buy there is HomeBuy Direct, a new shared equity scheme supported by Barratt Eastern Counties and the Government. As the development’s HomeBuy Direct allocation is now over 60 per cent sold, it has increasingly limited availability and homebuyers are urged to register their interest as soon as possible.

HomeBuy Direct enables buyers to move into a new home at Ringland Park in Costessey for just 70 per cent of the purchase price. Homebuyers can receive an equity loan of up to 30 per cent, funded jointly by Barratt and the Government. The buyer then finances the remaining 70 per cent of the purchase price either through a mortgage, a deposit or a combination of the two.

There is no interest to pay on the joint Barratt/Government equity stake for the first five years, although a fee will be charged from year six onwards.

At Ringland Park, current prices start from just £174,995, which means that purchasers could own a new three-bedroom home at the development for as little as £122,497.

Households eligible to take advantage of the offer will be earning less than £60,000 and would not normally be able to afford to buy a suitable property on the open market. Buyers can redeem the loan in instalments, purchasing up to 100 per cent of the equity after their initial purchase by buying additional equity at the market rate. Alternatively, if the property is sold, the equity loan is repaid by way of a share of the sale proceeds.

It’s not just First Time Buyers and Key Workers who can benefit. People who have previously owned properties but are now unable to do so – for example, in cases where relationships have broken down – can also apply.

Transport links at Ringland Park are excellent. A bus service runs every 15 minutes linking Queen’s Hills with Norwich city centre. Norwich Station has a regular service to Ipswich in 40 minutes and to London’s Liverpool Street in around two hours. Norwich International Airport is a 15 minute drive away.

Queen’s Hills has a great community atmosphere and is developing into a true village, with plans for village shops, a community hall, children’s play area, recreational area and football pitches. The new homes are very close to Queen’s Hills Primary and Nursery School, which opened last September, exclusively for children living in the village and is proving highly popular.
