Out with the old, in with the new

4th April 2008 Print
Homebuyers looking for a new home, but worried about selling their existing property, will find help on hand from Redrow in South Wales next weekend (April 12/13).

The award-winning housebuilder is offering two possible solutions – part exchange or assisted move – both of which will be explained during events at Coed Castell, in Brackla, and Dôl Gorwel, in North Cornelly.

The part exchange incentive on selected plots means Redrow will buy a customer’s existing property (subject to criteria) and effectively ‘swap’ it for a new home, taking the problem of finding a buyer, or becoming part of a chain, out of their hands and paving the way towards that new home.

Alternatively buyers can utilise the assisted move service and sit back and relax while Redrow manages the whole process of selling their existing home at the best possible price. It allows customers to ‘hold’ their dream Redrow home for up to four weeks, while Redrow takes care of the selling process; all for a minimal fee that’s refunded when they legally complete on their new home – and Redrow will also pay all of the estate agent’s fees. They may even be able to cover the cost of a Home Information Pack.

Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: “This weekend is an opportunity for homebuyers to get advice on part exchange and assisted move, which are both ideal options for people who want to move right away, but are being held back by their current house.

“Potential customers can visit either of these developments to chat to our experienced sales consultants about how Redrow can help them, while taking the opportunity to look around the fabulous homes we have for sale.”

Part exchange and assisted move are just two of the measures under the umbrella of ‘re:assure from Redrow’, which are all designed to make moving as easy as possible from the moment of first enquiry right through until after the customer has moved in.

To provide added comfort and reassurance to prospective homebuyers, Redrow Homes has extended its ‘house price protection’ promise – helping to protect the value of its customers’ new homes for up to three years*.

As well as potentially protecting the value of their new home and part-exchange, Redrow’s ‘re:assure’ package includes a selection of other ways give people the help they need, when they need it. Examples include help with the monthly mortgage repayments for up to two years or helping out with the deposit, stamp duty or legal fees.

Both Coed Castell and Dôl Gorwel have fantastic locations, with the perfect balance between accessibility to towns and cities while still being within easy reach of the beautiful Welsh countryside and coastline.

The village of Brackla, where Coed Castell is located, has a choice of pubs and leisure facilities, whilst nearby Bridgend has a host of amenities available to its locals – from doctors and dentists, to family-friendly pubs and stylish wine bars.

The village also has several excellent schools nearby – both English and/or Welsh speaking – and is only three miles from the fantastic McArthur Glen retail shopping outlet.

Coed Castell features a range of apartments and houses, currently priced from £114,995 for a two-bedroom apartment up to £199,995 for a four-bedroom detached home.

Dôl Gorwel also has a lot to offer families. The development is just four miles from the prestigious seaside resort of Porthcawl and six miles from Bridgend.

It’s close to a small selection of shops and a number of local leisure and recreational facilities, including swimming, a fitness centre, golf club, restaurants and pubs. The Kenfig Nature reserve is within walking distance of the development and offers beautiful walks and views over the sand dunes.

As well as boasting a prime location, Dôl Gorwel features a host of elegant and stylish homes. A selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes are still available from £134,995 to £219,995.

The marketing suites at both developments are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
