Barratt sponsors Bridgend rugby team Bridgend Athletics Under 11’s rugby team are wearing a brand new kit thanks to Barratt South Wales which has provided the team with 30 new kits. Martin Bennett, a coach from the Under 11’s rugby team, approached Barratt when the club needed to find new sponsorship for the year ahead.

The housebuilder, which is currently building two new developments in Bridgend, was only too happy to help support a community club that encourages children of all abilities to get involved with a team sport.

“We rely entirely on sponsorship to keep the team running. We approached Barratt because it is a well respected housebuilder which is also building locally. The new kits cost £1000 so we were delighted when Barratt agreed to pay for them. The new design of the kit is fantastic and the children feel very professional when they’re playing matches,” he said.

Bridgend Athletic Rugby Football Club Under 11’s was founded in 2004, providing youths with the opportunity to play rugby, often seen only on a national level. All the coaches are volunteers and the children can train and play a game each week for only £1.50.

Adrian Bird, sales director for Barratt South Wales, says: “Barratt is committed to contributing to the local communities where it builds. Bridgend Athletic Rugby Club is a fantastic club and it was a great pleasure to provide the children with their new kits.”

Barratt’s Coed Castell development is situated in Bridgend with prices from £115,995 for a two-bedroom apartment, £119,995 for a two-bedroom coach house and from £159,995 for a three-bedroom mid-terraced house and from £215,000 for a four-bedroom house. The sales centre and showhomes at Coed Castell, Brackla, Bridgend, CF31 2DJ, is open Thursday to Monday 11am to 6pm.

The housebuilder’s other development in the area is Parc Tyn Y Coed, situated in Sarn, with prices from £97,000 for a two-bedroom house, £136,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached house and from £191,995 for a four-bedroom detached house. The sales and marketing suite at Parc Tyn Y Coed, Sarn, Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan, CF32 9NQ, is open Thursday to Monday 11am to 6pm.

To help families with an existing home to sell, Barratt is currently offering to buy their old home through its popular Part Exchange scheme. Barratt Homes buys the purchaser’s existing home, enabling the purchaser to buy a new Barratt home. This takes away the worry of being in a chain and you can even stay in your old home until your new one is ready. With no estate agency fees to pay, or HIP to prepare, you save money too.

Barratt is also offering mortgage protection for up to three years, thanks to free insurance with a new home. Barratt will pay the first year’s premium to insure buyers against being unable to make their mortgage payments through no fault of their own.

Some buyers may wish to take advantage of Barratt’s Head Start scheme, available on selected plots, which allows you to pay just 85 per cent of the purchase price but own 100 per cent of the property. The remaining 15 per cent is an interest-free loan that doesn’t have to be repaid for ten years or until the property is sold.
