Persimmon Homes East Yorkshire - Kitchen Ever wished that you were more ‘green’? Felt that you should be doing more to help the environment? Resolved to start recycling but not quite gotten around to it? We have all been there, but in this day and age where society is becoming increasingly concerned about the well being of the environment, it’s time we all took a step towards a more eco-friendly lifestyle.

Keen to do their bit for the environment, Beverley-based Persimmon Homes East Yorkshire has pledged to adopt eco-friendly measures at each of its 11 developments across the region, and is resolving to switch off the lights in all of its show homes.

Karen Harrowell, sales director for Persimmon Homes East Yorkshire, explains: “One of the key missions for the government is to encourage businesses and the public to cut back on energy use. Although this may look like a simple, little change, with more than 22 show homes across the region, it will help reduce impact on the environment and will go some way towards creating a much greener place to live.

“It’s so important for all of us to do our bit and we positively encourage people to cut down on their electricity usage home. Not only will this prevent wastage of precious energy but householders will save money on their utility bills too.”

Persimmon Homes East Yorkshire is currently building in Brandesburton, Lincoln, Hull, Brough, Withernsea, Scunthorpe and Hornsea.
