Barratt launches iPad starter home in Hull The first Barratt iPad home in East Yorkshire – designed to help bridge the growing affordability gap for increasing numbers of first-time buyers – has been launched at Kings Park in Hull.

Extending to just over 380 sq ft, the pioneering Barratt iPad is the next generation of starter home with prices starting at £79,995 – well below the stamp duty threshold. With good living space, a stylish fully fitted open-plan kitchen, a separate double bedroom and fully fitted bathroom it is designed to be cutting edge and contemporary.

Paul Hogan, sales director at Barratt York said: “We have spent two years developing the Barratt iPad to help bridge the affordability gap for increasing numbers of first-time buyers struggling to take their first step on the home ownership ladder. The iPad apartments are ingeniously planned and available at affordable prices, providing a great “crash pad” for first-time buyers as well as older single people or couples.

“It’s an outstanding concept which we believe is an optimum size for liveability, perfect for a couple as well as singles. It has a reasonably-sized living room, a fully-fitted kitchen and a proper bathroom, with a full-sized bath with shower over, basin and WC.

“We believe they will be in great demand, particularly as Kings Park is in such a great location. It is close to the highly popular and successful Kingswood Retail Park with local amenities including a superstore, eateries, cinema, ten pin bowling and leisure centres.”
