You can shore look forward to staying at home

27th June 2008 Print
You can shore look forward to staying at home If you want to avoid the hassle of the airport, frantic packing, organising holiday insurance and ordering foreign currency, you should consider joining the record number of people who are opting out of this year's overseas holiday to instead take a ‘staycation' at home for their main annual break.

With the financial savings you'll make by not shelling out on a package deal, combined with the fact that three of East Riding's main resort beaches have been awarded the coveted Blue Flag status by environmental charity, EnCams for the 2008 season, along with six beaches awarded Quality Coast Awards, why jet abroad when all the benefits of a beach holiday are right on your doorstep?

"It's a shame that most of us only enjoy the coast for a couple of weeks every year however, this needn't be the case" comments Karen Harrowell, sales director for Persimmon Homes Yorkshire. "Anyone who fancies living like they're on a permanent holiday can find they can do so with relative ease with a move to our Aquarius development in Bridlington or to The Glade in Withernsea.

Situated at Promenade, newly-launched Aquarius is the ultimate in coastal developments. Featuring a mix of just 15 apartments built in a four storey complex, properties boast a high specification and many benefit from stunning sea views. Meanwhile, the holiday resort of Withernsea provides an ideal backdrop for The Glade at Carrs Meadow which incorporates a mix of two and three bedroom bungalows and four bedroom detached properties.

"Near-coastal developments tend to be sought after by those looking for a respite from the daily grind and now more than ever as we lead increasingly stressful lives" continues Karen. "Aquarius and The Glade are situated in established residential areas with the award-winning beaches close by, there's no need to jet abroad, just rekindle your passion for year-round traditional beach holidays that are much more closer to home."

Aquarius, a brand new coastal development, is within walking distance of Bridlington Town centre which bustles with shops, attractions and restaurants with the Yorkshire Wolds, neighboring resorts of Hornsea and Withernsea found further afield. For the avid golfer, Bridlington boasts three of Yorkshires finest courses located within five miles of each other. Apartments are currently priced from £125,000.

The Glade is situated at Carrs Meadow in the seaside town of Withernsea which boasts a good range of local amenities. A wider selection can be found in the centre of Hull which is around 20 miles away. Homes are currently priced from £124,999.

Make the most of your staycation this summer in a brand new Persimmon home.
