Melanie makes a move on East Yorkshire

New homes builder Stamford Homes has appointed Melanie Parker as area manager to look after its newly acquired East Yorkshire developments. The move follows the company’s recent acquisition of Wright Homes, and the subsequent take over of the existing five developments in and around the region.

Melanie, who lives in the Hessle area, joined Stamford Homes some 18 months ago – having worked both as marketing manager and more recently in a sales role at a number of developments in and around Lincolnshire.

She has 20 years’ experience of sales and marketing, much of it in the construction industry, and is relishing her new role at the company’s newest developments.

Melanie will oversee the developments at York, Hull, Holme on Spalding Moor, Beverley and Cottingham – all of which are at various build stages, and which now come under the Stamford Homes umbrella.

As well as vast sales experience, Melanie prides herself on being a real people person.

“I love working with the public in helping them to achieve their goal of a new dream home, and to make the process as pleasurable for them as possible.

“I am delighted to be working in this part of the world, as I have my roots here and the people are great. In terms of new homes, we have something to suit everyone of all tastes and budgets.”

She added: “Taking on these new developments is exciting and challenging, and part of my role will be to ensure that local people recognise and trust the brand.

“For many, Stamford Homes will be a new name. However, we are confident that the public will recognise our quality and commitment and become their favoured choice when it comes to buying a new home.”

Outside the office, Melanie’s passion is dolphin conservation so she spends much of her free time in her role as honorary secretary of the charity International Dolphin Watch.

Melanie lives in the Hessle area with husband Don. She has two daughters who have both graduated form university and she is looking forward to adding another title to her list next year when she becomes’ Mother of the Bride!
