Newcastle site manager has pride in the job Gladedale is celebrating the success of site manager Paul Aitken who has been presented with top accolade, the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Award 2008.

Site manager, Paul Aitken has worked with Gladedale for four and a half years and this prestigious award recognises his outstanding work at The Bakers development in North Fenham, where he has worked closely with his team of 25 for the past 18 months.

Each year the NHBC awards recognise the UK's top site managers as a means of raising standards in the housebuilding industry and ensuring that homes are built to an exceptional standard.

Paul was selected from site managers across the UK and was commended for his commitment to housebuilding practices including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety. He said: "I am really pleased and honoured to have received this award. It is all down to the hard work and dedication of the whole team."

Richard Jones, Sales Director of Gladedale in the north east of England, said: "I am delighted for Paul and his team at The Bakers. They have displayed great team performance and working practices and thoroughly deserve this award."
