Developer pays homage to local war hero Primo by Gladedale is paying homage to a local war hero at its new development in Evenwood. The development honours Evenwood men who died in a sea battle 90 years ago and is named after Andrew Lynas who went down with the torpedo boat Ardent in the Battle of Jutland, one of the fiercest North Sea engagements of the First World War.

Bringing much needed housing to the community of Evenwood, the award-winning housebuilder has created 23 new homes at newly opened Lynas Place in Evenwood near Bishop Auckland, with homes ranging from two and three bedroom semi-detached to three and four bedroom detached.

Gladedale has gained a strong reputation for meeting the need for quality housing in the Bishop Auckland area and with prices starting from just £94,995 for a two bedroom semi-detached property, these homes represent excellent value for money.

Each of the homes at the development are designed with a traditional sense of quality and value, specifically appealing to first time buyers and those looking to progress up the property ladder.

Evenwood is situated in the beautiful Bishop Auckland area with its historic villages and picturesque countryside. The town is within easy reach of Durham, Darlington and Teesside, making it an ideal choice for commuters.

Richard Jones, Sales Director of Gladedale (Sunderland) Ltd, said: “At Primo by Gladedale we are committed to building communities and to meeting the needs of local residents for quality housing. Lynas Place is particularly special as we are also honouring the memory of a local war hero.

“The development offers a perfect combination of location and quality homes, giving excellent value for money.”
