Scouts do the spadework at Consett opening Youngsters from the 1st Blackhill Scout Group dug in to launch three new showhomes in Consett. Housebuilder Barratt North East invited the scouts along to plant a tree to mark the official opening of the showhomes at its Fellview development in the town.

Development Director Neil Milburn said: "We wanted to do something different for the launch and also to recognise the contribution that scouts make to the local community. The boys and girls did a great job."

Fellview is the latest Barratt regeneration project in Consett, following the highly-successful Berry Edge and Woodside developments, and is providing a mix of new homes. For more information log on to Barratthomes.co.uk/fellview.
