Barratt invests in Monmouthshire community Adult, youth and recreation facilities, a local area for play and some biodiversity projects got off the starting blocks recently when Barratt South Wales presented a cheque for £266,075 to Monmouthshire County Borough Council as part of its Section 106 contribution for its Burrium Gate development in Monmouth Road, Usk.

Bob Phillips, Operation Director at Barratt South Wales, said: “New developments are not just about providing much needed new homes, they also facilitate other community benefits which would not be possible without the commercial contribution made by developers as part of the planning process. We are very pleased to see this money will be directly helping local residents.”

Attending the presentation was Assembly Member for Monmouthshire County Borough Council Nick Ramsay; Cllr Peter Clarke, Llangybi Fawr Ward; Cllr James Harris, The Elms Ward; and Cllr Brian Strong, Usk Ward.

The Burrium Gate development offers a handsome collection of detached executive homes in a tranquil setting in the heart of the Usk Valley with prices from £609,995 for a five-bedroom detached house. Also available at this stunning location is Burrium Chase, a neighbouring development with prices from £299,995 for a four-bedroom detached house.

The sales and marketing suite is open Sunday – Wednesday and Friday 11am to 6pm, Thursday 1pm to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm. For more information visit barratthomes.co.uk.
