TAP sets new record

TAP has just set a new record by transporting more than 30,000 passengers in a single day of operations over 3 consecutive days. The 30,000 barrier was broken on July 27 with the transportation of 30,417 passengers.

On July 28, the Company continued to register extraordinary levels of occupancy transporting 30,632 passengers on board its aircraft and managing to top 30,805 on July 29.

It is the first time on the history of the Company that TAP has hit this level of occupancy on a single day. Until July of this year, the maximum number of passengers transported on a single day occurred on August 12 2006, with 28,168 passengers.

TAP which during the first semester saw the number of passengers transported rise by 6.9%, thus sees the trend towards growth confirmed at the beginning of the second half of the year.
