TAP increases flights to Brasilia

5th November 2007 Print
Flights to Brasilia, started by TAP recently in July, are to be increased from five to six times a week from this coming February 12. This decision by the Company is the result of the enormous demand this destination has registered primarily from international markets.

This also brings enormous advantages for tourism in the Lisbon region with the increased number of passengers using their connection in the city to stay for a few days.

Inaugurated on July 19, flights to Brasilia in September enjoyed 80% occupancy rates, an extraordinary figure for such a recent leg. Maintaining the current booking rate up to the end of the year – namely a little over five months in total – TAP should total close to 50 thousand passengers transported.

New flights will run on Tuesdays increasing flights to every day of the week except for Thursdays. Flights depart from Lisbon at 10:40am and arrive in Brasilia at 6:05pm, returning from the Brazilian capital at 7:45pm and arriving at Portela Airport at 6:40am. These flights will operate on the Company’s modern A330 aircraft.
