TAP & Ukraine increase code-share operations

6th December 2007 Print
TAP Portugal and Ukraine International have increased their mutual cooperation by extending code-share use in force since 2002 on flights between Kiev and Lisbon to new destinations. Customers are therefore now offered from November 27 more flights between Portugal and the Ukraine as well as access to a wider range of destinations in each of the two countries.

As of this date the two companies will be offering their respective passengers a range of cities in the two countries on flights operated via code-share agreement with greater accessibility to domestic connections in each country.

TAP began assigning its code to flights operated by its ally company to the Ukrainian cities of Lviv and Simferopol and simultaneously, Ukraine airlines began offering its passengers the possibility of traveling on connecting TAP flights to Porto, Faro and Funchal.

In addition, both airline companies have increased flights available to passengers between Portugal and the Ukraine as of December 11 with the offer of new connections via selected locations in Europe such as Brussels and Zurich.

TAP believes that this increased cooperation with Ukraine airlines after five years of a very successful mutual relationship will result in a considerable improvement in the service provided for its customers, reflecting a substantial increase in options available and convenience in services provided between the two countries.

With the strengthening of its market position in that East European country, TAP intends to meet the expectations of its customers, maintaining continued responsiveness to their needs as a maximum priority.
