TAP begins flights to Moscow

The start of the summer at Domodedevo Airport in Moscow will be marked by the arrival of TAP Portugal, with the leading Portuguese airline company beginning regular flights on a direct leg between Lisbon and Moscow five times a week.

In the Lisbon-Moscow direction flights run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and there are also two flights on Saturdays. On the Moscow-Lisbon return leg, flights run on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flights use TAP A320 aircraft.
This new destination has seen growing demand and until now has registered more than 13,600 bookings since the service began to the end of this year.

With this new route served from its hub in Lisbon, TAP is widening and diversifying its network in Europe, expanding to Moscow, one of the most important markets in terms of growth in Eastern Europe, both for business and tourist passengers.

Hence, the Company is meeting the needs and expectations of its customers, reinforcing its contribution the increased flow in tourism between the two countries.
In addition, TAP is also offering passengers from Russia the best connecting flights to cities in its domestic network and also to international destinations served from Lisbon via direct flights at more convenient times. In particular to Brazil, a market where TAP is the leading European airline company with flights to eight cities and a total of 67 flights a week, as well as its destinations in Africa.

The increasing popularity of Portugal as a tourist destination in Russia and now the beginning of TAP flights between Lisbon and Moscow, means the Company forecasts it will transport around 40,000 passengers on average on this new route.
