TAP reports growth in online check-in

9th September 2009 Print
TAP reports growth in online check-in The number of boarding cards issued online through the TAP website until the month of August rose 17% against the same period in 2008. This form of online check-in has been used by an average of 35,000 customers per month, resulting in 280,000 boarding cards issued in the first eight months of this year.

The growth in the use of this facility demonstrates that customers value the convenience offered by online check-in, especially simpler and shorter waiting times at airports when departing.

Once passengers have obtained their boarding card through the website, they just need to drop off their check-in baggage at dedicated desks at the airport. In Lisbon, this is Desk 1 in the Premium Zone and Desks 70 and 80 for passengers travelling in economy class.

For passengers travelling with hand baggage only, online check-in allows them to go directly to the departure gate without having to first register at the TAP check-in desks at the airport.

Online check-in and the ability to print your boarding card can be done up to 24 hours prior to flight departure time at flytap.com.
