Monarch scoops marketing award

Award-winning low fares airline Monarch has this week been honoured with one of the marketing profession's most sought after prizes – a Business Performance Award, presented at the annual Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) awards ceremony and Gala Dinner on Tuesday 15th May at the London Marriott Hotel.

The coveted ‘Digital Acquisition’ award recognises the use of digital media and communications technologies to acquire new customers, whether used in concert with traditional channels or in isolation.

Ian Chambers, Monarch's E-Commerce Manager, explained: “I am delighted that our SEO (search engine optimisation) campaign, run by Greenlight Marketing, has been awarded a BPA Award by the Institute of Direct Marketing. Since their engagement, Greenlight have demonstrated themselves to be a valuable and committed addition to our efforts. Their work has been sincere and consistent and they have routinely delivered on their service commitments including a return on investment over and above our expectations of what an SEO programme would produce."

The IDM award comes after several recent award nominations for Greenlight who work with many of the UK’s largest companies to ensure they are implementing the most effective SEO campaigns possible across both natural and paid search campaigns. Monarch and Greenlight were also nominated for a Travolution award earlier this year.
