Monarch encourages the use of CUSS and online check-in

Passengers travelling from Manchester can take advantage of the airport's CUSS (Common User Self Service) systems to check in for their scheduled flights with Monarch, and bypass the queues to start their holiday queues quickly and easily.

CUSS systems have a number of advantages over traditional check-in:

- No queue, no hassle

- Quicker than a traditional check in desk

- Simple, easy to use touch screen function

- Print your own boarding card

To check-in for your flight, you just need to follow these five simple steps:

1. Identify yourself by entering either;

- Your passport
- Your credit card
- Your e-ticket number

2. Follow the on screen instructions to confirm your booking.

3. Print and collect your issued boarding card.

4. Drop off your bag at the bag drop desks the locations of these are marked by screens next to the kiosk.

5. If you do not have any luggage, proceed straight to security.

CUSS has been operational for over a year and in that time Monarch has seen the number of passengers using the system rise to almost 20%. In May the airline's original pod of CUSS kiosks was re-sited and the number of kiosks increased from three to five. In addition the number of bag drop desks has been increased to four to allow even more passengers to use the system.

Online check-in

Passengers travelling on Monarch's scheduled services from Manchester, Birmingham, London Luton and London Gatwick Airports can now check in online for their flights and significantly reduce the amount of time spent at the airport.

Simply by logging on to flyMonarch.com and registering with the 'My Account' feature, you can make use of this nifty time-saving innovation and print your boarding card at home, bypassing the check-in queues to leave your bags at the Fast Bag Drop Desk. If you're travelling light and only taking cabin baggage, you can simply head straight for the departure gate and hop on board!

Since online check-in was first launched in May 2006 at Manchester over 15,000 passengers have made use of the system, and with Monarch's other scheduled bases at Birmingham, Luton and Gatwick now offering the service, up to 25% of our passengers are using it to breeze through departures and settle down on board their flight.
