Record flying month for Monarch’s scheduled flights

3rd July 2007 Print
Award winning low fares airline Monarch is celebrating a record-breaking month after carrying 407,223 passengers on scheduled flights in June 2007 – the first time the airline has flown in excess of 400,000 passengers in one month. The increase has been aided by the introduction of new flights from the UK to destinations including Ibiza, Murcia, Palma, Almeria and Larnaca.

Monarch operates scheduled flights to Spain, Gibraltar, Portugal and Cyprus from Aberdeen, Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester airports and was named as Leisure Airline of the Year in recent Travel Industry Awards.

Fares on Monarch flights include complimentary daily newspapers, a refreshing hot towel service and there is no charge for checking in baggage – if within your 20kg allowance; also available is a unique range of tasty hot and cold meals with prices from £3.00.

Seats can be pre-booked at £5 per one-way flight to avoid the last minute free-for-all experienced on some other airlines, or for only £15, why not try one of the 48 extra-legroom seats which offer up to six inches of extra space? Regular travellers are rewarded too, with a range of benefits through the airline’s loyalty scheme, Vantage Club.

Passengers travelling on scheduled flights from Manchester and Birmingham can also avoid the queues at the airport and take advantage of online check-in which is available between 24 and 4.5 hours prior to departure or from 36 hours if you are a Vantage Club member.
