Monarch awarded ‘Airline of the Year – Leisure’
Last week at the 2007 Travel Trade Gazette awards held in Old Billingsgate, Monarch retained the prestigious ‘Airline of the Year – Leisure’ award after being crowned with the title last year.The panel of 37 judges made up of travel industry experts judged that Monarch was worthy of retaining the award, triumphing over a number of other nominated airlines including Thomas Cook Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.
Monarch’s Managing Director Tim Jeans was on hand to receive the award, from host TV comedian Rob Brydon.
