Potential strike action at BAA airports

2nd January 2008 Print
Monarch Airlines is aware of the current situation involving BAA workers that could potentially lead to industrial action taking place in January 08 at two of the airports that Monarch operate from - Gatwick and Aberdeen.

Following productive discussions, the BAA has confirmed that the first strike date, 07 January, has been called off. Monarch however is monitoring the situation closely and contingency plans are being drawn up to ensure that passenger disruption is minimised if strike action does take place on 14 and 17 January.

At the present time, Monarch services from both Gatwick and Aberdeen are operating as normal.
