Monarch's new route to Murcia takes to the skies

22nd February 2008 Print
Award-winning low fares airline Monarch’s new service from Manchester to Murcia launched this week, bringing the total number of destinations served by the airline from its north-west base to 12. Five flights a week will operate from Manchester to the Costa Calida, before increasing to daily flights for the summer season.

Liz Savage, managing director of Monarch’s scheduled services said, “We are delighted to be launching this new route from Manchester to Murcia and have been overwhelmed by how well it has been received with the first flight almost fully booked and over 20,000 bookings already taken. There are plenty of low fares still available though, with fares starting from only £36.99 one way (including tax).”

Monarch operates scheduled flights from Manchester to 12 destinations throughout Spain, Portugal and Cyprus and was named as Leisure Airline of the Year in recent Travel Industry Awards. In addition to year-round low fares and convenient flight times, Monarch also offers a unique range of tasty hot and cold meals onboard.

Seats can be pre-booked at £5 per one-way flight to avoid the last minute free-for-all experienced on other airlines, or from only £15, extra-legroom seats are available which offer up to six inches of extra space. Regular travellers are rewarded too, with a range of benefits through the airline’s loyalty scheme, Vantage Club.

Passengers travelling on scheduled flights can also avoid the queues at the airport and take advantage of online check-in which is available between seven days and 4.5 hours prior to departure.
