Commenting on the launch of the schedule, Liz Savage, managing director of Monarch’s scheduled services, said, "We are delighted to have our Winter 2008/09 schedule on sale ahead of many of our major competitors from London Gatwick Airport.

"Our customers continue to prefer our low fare, more care offer and having more than doubled our services to Tenerife and Lanzarote, coupled with additional services to Murcia, the first Winter operation of our popular Gatwick-Larnaca route, and by maintaining our strong position on our core routes, we are ideally positioned to meet the needs of our passengers."
