2nd May 2008 Print
Award winning low fare airline Monarch is once again leading the way by announcing its entire Winter 2008/2009 schedule well in advance of its competitors. The programme, on sale now via monarch.co.uk, includes almost 1.75m seats from London Luton, London Gatwick, Birmingham International and Manchester Airports.

The airline is pleased to announce the first Winter operations for services to Larnaca from London Gatwick and Manchester, with up to three flights per week to Cyprus from both UK airports. In addition, Monarch’s Manchester-Gibraltar service returns with three flights per week and flying to Tenerife and Lanzarote has doubled from London Gatwick, with additional services to the Canary Islands from London Luton, Birmingham and Manchester also available compared to the previous Winter.

Commenting on the launch of the schedule, Liz Savage, managing director of Monarch’s scheduled services, said, "We are delighted to have our Winter 2008/09 schedule on sale ahead of many of our major competitors in the UK.

"Our customers continue to choose our low fare, more care offer and we are ideally positioned to meet the needs of our customers this Winter. We are seeing real demand for the Canaries this year and have responded with increased services from all our UK airports, as well as continuing to strengthen our position on our core routes.

"In addition, flights to Larnaca continue to be hugely popular and our successful routes from London Luton, which launched last year, and our new services from London Gatwick and Manchester, which launched earlier this year and will operate their first Winter services this year, will all offer up to three flights per week from each airport.

"With almost 1.75m seats available this Winter, both our existing customers and those who have yet to travel with us will be able to experience our award winning service which consistently places us above the other low-cost carriers."
