Award winning low fare and charter airline Monarch will be coffee-tastic this week as staff and passengers join forces to support Macmillan’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ and help raise money to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.

This Friday, 25 September, Monarch will once again be making coffee count at all UK airports from which it operates, with cabin crew and ground staff serving coffee and cake as part of an airport coffee morning. Monarch will also be donating 20p from every cup of coffee sold onboard its flights on the morning of 25 September to Macmillan* as well as continuing with its standard onboard collection of loose change and unwanted foreign currency.

Commenting on the coffee-tastic activities, Managing Director of Monarch Airlines, Tim Jeans said, “Monarch are delighted to be supporting Macmillan in their fundraising activities and raising much needed funds through the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Monarch has been supporting Macmillan for over 20 years and raised a staggering £3 million for them through a variety of activities. Also commenting on Monarch’s fundraising activities, Joe Scheinkonig, Account Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support said, “Monarch is one of our longest standing corporate partners and has raised a staggering amount of money over the past 20 years. Every year Monarch raises £1000s through its World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and no doubt they’ll do the same again this year, which will make a huge difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.”
