Beginning on March 31, 2008, airBaltic will offer non-stop flights from Vilnius to the capital city of France – the first new destination on the 2008 summer timetable.

"Paris is one of the most beautiful and popular places in Europe to return to again and again,” says Tadas Vizgirda, vice president of airBaltic and director of the airline’s office in Vilnius. “One would not leave this city of gourmands without tasting the famous French wines and croissants. We believe that these new flights will satisfy both holidaymakers and businesspeople. Flights on Fridays will delight weekend travellers," he adds.

Paris will be the 20thairBaltic non-stop destination out of the Lithuanian capital, with flights from Vilnius to Charles de Gaulle airport offered three times a week – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Passengers will fly on Boeing 737-500 aircraft with flight duration of 2 hours and 45 minutes. Ticket prices will start at LTL 150, including airport fees.

The new route offers an excellent opportunity to discover or rediscover Paris. The beautiful city is a perfect place for a romantic retreat with its architectural monuments, its theatres, the cosy streets of Montmartre, the delicious cakes and coffee. airBaltic has also noted that shopping trips are becoming more and more popular in Lithuania. As a major centre for fashion, Paris will surely help to boost that trend.
