airBaltic introduces internet check-in for Liepaja flights

4th September 2008 Print
As of now, the Latvian airline airBaltic will allow people who take flights from Liepaja to check in via the Internet. Previously this had only been possible for airBaltic flights departing from Riga, Ventspils, Vilnius, Vienna, Zurich, Bergen, Stavanger, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.

J?nis Vanags, Vice President Corporate Communications, airBaltic: "Internet check-in for flights is particularly convenient during the summer, when there are increased numbers of travellers at airports. Our clients can avoid long check-in queues before departure."

Web check-in has been available for airBaltic flights since August 1, 2007. The Web check-in services are very convenient, allowing passengers to save time by checking in, selecting their seat and printing out their boarding pass – all on the Internet.

Internet check-in is possible from noon on the day preceding the relevant flight. It ends two hours before the planned departure time. Web check-in can be used for all types of tickets – those bought from airBaltic, those bought from travel agencies, and those bought on the Internet at airbaltic.lv.

Passengers who have used Web check-in can leave their baggage at a dedicated counter when arriving at the airport. Passengers who only have carry-on baggage may go directly to the security inspection and then on to their flight. Baggage will not be accepted later than 30 minutes before departure, and passengers must arrive at the gate no later than 20 minutes before the flight.

Web check-in is available at airbaltic.lv. More information about the service is available there, as well.
