airBaltic purchases SAS airline shares
The management of Latvia’s national airline, airBaltic, concluded a transaction on January 29, in the course of which it purchased the 47.2% of shares in the airline that were owned by SAS AB. The sum paid for the shares was LVL 14 million.airBaltic president and executive director Bertolt Flick: "Even in this difficult economic climate, the airline’s management believe in the company's future and are prepared to work actively on future development."
airBaltic has also confirmed that commercial co-operation with SAS AB will continue.
