airBaltic to launch direct flights to Dushanbe

On June 1st of this year, the Latvian airline airBaltic will launch direct flights from Riga to the capital city of Tajikistan, Dushanbe. airBaltic is the only EU airline to fly to Dushanbe.

During the summer season, this will be airBaltic’s 51st route from Riga and will continue the airline’s strategy to open new Eastern destinations in CIS countries. Overall, during the 2009 summer season, the airline will launch four new routes from Riga.

Flights to Dushanbe will be offered twice a week – on Mondays and Fridays. Passengers will fly on Boeing 737 airplanes, and the flight will last five-and-a-half hours. One-way ticket price will start at LVL 139, including airport fees and transaction costs.
