airBaltic launches online travel agency

10th August 2009 Print
Latvia’s national airline airBaltic has opened an online travel agency – airbaltictravel.com – with the aim of enabling clients to plan leisure and business trips more easily and less expensively.

Bertolt Flick, airBaltic President and CEO: “We are delighted that with the help of airBalticTravel.com, we will be able to offer our customers more extensive and attractive services so as to make travel easier. In addition to airline tickets, airBaltic already offers additional services such as insurance, car leasing and airport shuttle services. The online travel agency will supplement our offer very well.”

Initially the agency will offer flights and hotel reservations. New services will be added gradually. Right now it offers more than 23,000 hotels in 120 countries. airBalticTravel.com also guarantees the lowest hotel prices. The agency also offers descriptions of destinations so that customers can plan their business and leisure travel better.

In future, airBalticTravel.com will offer travel packages - flights, hotel reservations and other services selected by the client. These will be less expensive in package form than they would be if purchased separately.
