BA launches summer schedule
British Airways is launching four new routes from London Gatwick airport this summer including its first new long-haul destination from the airport for six years. New destinations include Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, Dresden in Germany, Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and new daily flights to Newquay.The new routes are to:
- Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago with three flights per week from March 28, 2007.
- Dresden in Germany with daily flights from March 25, 2007.
- Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina with three flights per week from March 25, 2007.
- Newquay with daily flights from March 20, 2007.
Flights from London Gatwick to Hassi Messaoud in Algeria, Newcastle and Riga in Lativa will be suspended from March 25, 2007.
Following the sale of the regional operation of British Airways' subsidiary, BA Connect, the airline's operation from London City airport has been relaunched as BA CityFlyer. New routes to Glasgow and Zurich will be launched at London City from March 25, 2007 with four daily flights to each destination.
From June 1, 2007, British Airways flights to Vancouver from London Heathrow will operate from Terminal 1 rather than Terminal 4.
