Avis and BA announce new partnership deal Avis and British Airways are making history with the launch of a new exclusive five-year global partnership deal. Avis car rental is now extended to all British Airways customers worldwide and is available through all British Airways booking channels, including ba.com.

The two famous travel brands are joining forces to offer customers a faster and more efficient service and a host of additional benefits under their Be There Sooner campaign. The unique and pioneering relationship, a first in the industry, launches this month.

‘’Avis are now the sole car rental provider for British Airways customers worldwide. The new partnership reflects our commitment to the airline and our belief in their brand values and synchronisation with our service levels. The aim is simple; to make the travel process easier and quicker for our customers,” says Julia Kemp, Director of Partnerships and Leisure, Avis Europe.

British Airways and Avis customers will benefit from a richer offer including:-

- Unique cost saving year-round promotions
- All customers can sign up to Avis Preferred which offers members a host of time saving benefits, including priority Avis Preferred counters and Avis’ 3-Minute Promise, which guarantees customers’ keys within three minutes or less

Additional benefits for British Airways Executive Club members include:
- Three BA Miles per £1 spent on car rental (minimum 500 miles per rental). This initiative is an industry first, as no other car rental company has ever offered miles per pound spent
- 500 BA Miles for sign–up to Avis’ frequent renter scheme; Avis Preferred
- A loyalty bonus – 750 BA Miles for every fourth car rental (only one in every 12 month period)
- 250 BA Miles if car rental is paid for using a British Airways / Amex co-branded credit card
- Exclusive mileage offers throughout the year
- Free additional driver worldwide, use of Avis UK’s home delivery service and generous discounts on Avis Prestige’s meet and greet service

In addition:-
- By invitation, selected Executive Club members will be offered 5,000 BA Miles when they rent a car with Avis for the first time
- By invitation, selected Executive Club members who have rented with Avis before but not in the last 18 months will be offered 3,000 BA Miles for renting with Avis again

Avis and British Airways Executive Club have worked together for the last 11 years. Today’s announcement means that their partnership has extended to benefit British Airways customers across the board, offering them a first class, seamless service throughout their travel experience.

Andrea Burchett, Director, Relationship Marketing and Insight, BA Miles said: “Avis has delivered a fantastic service to our Executive Club members since 1998. It was important to us that we extended this to all our customers worldwide and Avis had the capability, excellent service and the brand values to deliver that.

“The partnership seemed a natural fit for us and we know the benefits to our customers will be enormous - based on just four vehicle rentals in a calendar year, you could boost your BA Miles balance by in excess of more than 10,000, which means you’ll get to your desired destination sooner.”
