Personal assistants for Lufthansa’s elite

12th March 2008 Print
Following a successful three month trial, Lufthansa has introduced a dedicated Personal Assistant service for its First Class customers and HON Circle members at London-Heathrow, the very first Lufthansa station in Europe to benefit from this unique service. A similar service is also being introduced at London City Airport.

With the new service, Lufthansa’s top customers departing from Terminal 2, Heathrow, are immediately met at check-in by their dedicated Personal Assistant, escorted through security control, by-passing queues to be taken directly to the Lufthansa lounge.

Lufthansa’s top customers arriving into Heathrow can also benefit from the new service, being met directly at the aircraft door, and escorted swiftly through passport and customs controls. Customer response to the new service has been overwhelmingly positive with an average of 50 passengers daily using the new Personal Assistant service, thereby saving valuable time on their departure from or arrival into London.

Announcing the introduction of the new service, Marianne Sammann, Lufthansa’s General Manager UK & Ireland commented: “Lufthansa’s new Personal Assistant service offers a new and exclusive benefit for our best and most loyal customers flying out of London, further strengthening our leading position in the premium segment.

“As one of Lufthansa’s most important markets, London boasts the highest share of Lufthansa’s UK-based top frequent fliers and London-Heathrow alone ranks no. 6 in Lufthansa’s worldwide rankings for HON Circle membership.”

HON Circle membership is the highest Lufthansa frequent flier status and can be achieved by anyone who collects 600,000 HON Circle miles within a period of two consecutive calendar years.

Membership brings an exclusive portfolio of benefits including booking guarantees, waiting list priority, improved availability of award flights, access to the exclusive Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Frankfurt with limousine transfer to the aircraft, as well as Lufthansa First Class, Senator and Star Gold lounges worldwide.
