First Choice take the worry out of travelling with 'peace of mind'

Having an allergy and not knowing how to say it in a foreign language or not knowing the name of a type of medication overseas can be a worry when travelling abroad.

As of now, First Choice Travel Shops and Holiday Hypermarkets will offer a new service ‘Peace of Mind’ that can solve these worries and enhance the holiday experience with immediate assistance. The unique product offers ‘AllergyAware’ which allows customers to receive texts or emails of up to two allergies translated into the language of their choice that they can show to waiters; hotel; supermarket or medical staff. In addition to this, ‘HealthHelplines’ offers 24hour access to English Speaking medical professionals both before and during the customers’ travels. The professionals will give details of foreign medication (ie: the product name); details of local doctors and clinics as well as minor illness assistance.

Offering support at both home and overseas, ‘Peace of Mind’ will not replace but complement a customer’s insurance policy with assistance if they encounter problems relating to their home, health or possessions – when away from home.

Health
- VaccinationCare - 15% off vaccination bills at Medicentre

Home
- KeyholderSupport – offers assistance to neighbours or family if there is a home emergency (eg: broken windows; floods; heating etc.. while the customer is away) by arranging quality-checked tradesmen to assess and resolve the issue. They will also advise the Home Insurance Company of a possible claim.

Possessions
- LuggageGuard – for protection of luggage. When the product is purchased, the customer receives a uniquely coded tag – simply register the code online and if the luggage is lost, it will be found swiftly.
- PassportGuard – Again, when purchased a coded label to stick onto a passport and anyone who finds the lost passport, can call a number and a call/email will be automatically diverted to the customer so they can be reunited with their passport.
