Summer 2007 will see Club Med launch a new range of product innovations, new destinations and family activities in new and existing Villages across the world providing something to satisfy everyone, whether they’re looking for a fun and relaxing family holiday or a more sophisticated experience for couples or friends.

In 2000 Club Med began a comprehensive refurbishment and renovation programme in its destinations across the world, and Summer 2007 will see the opening of the brand new Village of Albion in Mauritius, a fantastic location for exceptional holidays. The new Albion Village is the result of a 50 million Euro investment in the region and will become part of Club Med’s “Experiencing the Exceptional” range of holidays, offering visitors a more sophisticated holiday experience. The Village is aimed at travellers with older children and Albion will offer outstanding spa treatments at the new Cinq Mondes Spa.

The new Village will complement the existing family focused Club Med Village of La Pointe aux Canonniers , which will be renovated and upgraded in 2007. Club Med now offers 46 Family Villages worldwide, offering outstanding facilities for children from 4 month to 17 years old.

Club Med has made a name for itself in family holidays and over the past few years has worked hard to improve its offering to appeal to today’s sophisticated holiday travellers. This drive to build upon Club Med’s success in recent years is evident in the new summer 2007 Club Med product offering.

Dedicated family products are now available in more Villages than ever before and in 2007 Club Med open the doors of its brand new Mauritius Village, Albion.

This year also sees brand new Baby Club Med facilities open at Agadir, Da Balaia, Djerba la Douce and Opio en Provence. Petit Club Med opens at the popular Portugal Village of Da Balaia and Mini Club Med comes to Cancun Yucatan. Club Med Passworld is specifically designed to give teenage holidaymakers an independent, safe environment to meet and socialise in, with tailored activities for their age group such as theatre, sound mixing classes, jewellery making or graffiti work. Club Med Passworld opens at Cancun Yucatan, Palmiye, Rio das Pedras and Lindeman Great Barrier Reef.

Renovation and improvement works have been carried out at Club Med Villages in Cancun Yucatan, Mexico, Opio en Provence, France, La Caravelle, Guadaloupe, Hammamet and Tunisia to ensure that Club Med guests receive the most inclusive luxury experience in beautiful settings with elegant modern designs.

Club Med is offering a new Early Booking Bonus for Summer holidays. Visitors seeking a summer holiday in 2007 should book with Club Med before 4 March 2007 and travel between 5 May and 27 October 2007 to save £100 per adult and £50 per child[1] on short haul Villages. For long haul Villages the offer is even more generous with adults saving £150 and children saving £75 - that amounts to £450 saving for a family of four!

Sarah Mason, Director of Marketing for Club Med UK said: “Summer 2006 proved to be a great success for Club Med with solid growth across the UK market. European bookings were up by 4 per cent in 2006 compared to the previous year, with a nearly double digit growth in the UK. Building upon the triumph of last year, we are looking forward to an excellent 2007. We have more Villages than ever before catering for family holidays, and our brand new Village in Mauritius will be a great attraction for families and friends looking for something a little bit different. Our generous early booking bonus means now is the perfect time to indulge in a Club Med holiday.”
