Maui launches 2007 Australia & New Zealand motorhome brochure

In a brochure that flips to feature Australia on one side and New Zealand on the other, Maui, named for one of the most famed figures in Polynesian mythology, provides motorhomes that feature innovative, sophisticated design. The company builds more new vehicles each year than most others have in their entire fleets and operates 24/7 customer care programmes to provide assistance and information while customers are on the road in their vehicles.
The ‘greatest journey’ brochure entices with an attractive layout and glossy images of the best places to visit to experience New Zealand and Australia’s scenic vistas and diverse cultures.
Getting down to the facts, the brochure details many of the myriad inclusions and free extras that Maui customers receive. On one hand there is the kitchen equipment, linen and bedding and thoughtful items such as clothes pegs, bucket, water hose and broom, and a starter pack containing necessities like dishwashing detergent, toilet paper, soap, tissues, etc, plus a safe for valuables in most of the vehicle types. On the other hand, there is the travel wallet packed with maps and travel information, discounts to attractions, holiday park guides, free mountain bike hire at selected holiday parks in New Zealand, plus free taxi transfers between the Maui branch and the airport in Australia and free coach transfers in Auckland and Christchurch in New Zealand.
The motorhomes and Maui rental cars available in New Zealand and Australia are next for scrutiny with cutaway images of the motorhomes and illustrations showing night and day layouts. Motorhomes in each country range from two through to four and six-berth. The smaller vehicle range includes the Spirit 2, which accommodates two adults and a small child. In the rental car range there are 1.3L economy cars seating up to four adults through to the 2.4L eight-seater van in Australia, with the largest car in New Zealand being a ‘people mover’ station wagon style of vehicle seating up to seven adults.
All vehicles feature pressurised hot and cold water, kitchen sinks and bench tops, gas stoves, microwaves, fridges, storage, air conditioning, cabin heating and radio and CD players, with many of the larger motorhomes also offering DVD players and screens.
In the driving department, all motorhomes have power steering, some are manual transmission while others are automatic, some have petrol engines and others diesel.
Maui’s ‘greatest journey’ brochure also devotes space to frequently asked questions (FAQs), including the likes of “do I need a special license to drive?” – answer, “absolutely not”! Concerns about minimum hire periods, picking up at one branch and dropping off at another, changing the hire period, the drop off destination and even the vehicle type, are also addressed.
