A walk on the wild side in Chile
The UK winter is the best time to visit Chile and discover the raw beauty of the Patagonian landscape, south of Santiago.Flight Centre currently has a two-week ‘Patagonian Unplugged’ tour that lets travellers see the best of the region from capital city Santiago to the breathtaking beauty of Torres Del Paine National Park and the Tierra Del Fuego islands, in the very south of Chile.
Highlights include cruising through the Chilean fjords, hiking in the Lake District area and around Volcano Orsono, hiking and camping in Torres Del Paine National Park with its snow capped mountains, famous Glacier Grey and turquoise lakes, and seeing the unique wildlife such guanacos, Patagonian hares and the emu-like rhea.
The cost of the land-based tour is from £890 per person, which includes the three full day cruise, three days’ hiking and camping in Torres Del Paine, seven nights hotel accommodation plus all transport including bus, van, plane and ferry and services of a tour leader. Tours run from November to March every year.
International flights to Chile are NOT included. Flight Centre can organise flights to Santiago from £658 per person flying with Lufthansa from Heathrow via Frankfurt in February.
