Short breaks in Dunkerque and French Flanders

New for 2007 is a themed short break programme for stays in Dunkerque and the French Flanders region, launched by the Tourist Offices of Dunkerque and French Flanders.

“Maritime Discovery Weekend” from 67 euros per person; includes a Tourist Pass to museums, free public transport to discover the history of Dunkerque, one night bed and breakfast in a 2 star hotel and (Saturday night) dinner.

“Dunkerque Gourmet Weekend” from 99 euros per person; includes wine tasting, a visit to Dunkerque’s renowned pastry shop, a gourmet dinner (Saturday night) and one night bed and breakfast.

“Charm and Gourmet Weekend” from 91 euros per person; to discover the history and fortifications of Gravelines, the Counts of Flanders, visit to the arts museum and canal boat tour. Includes one night stay at bed and breakfast or hotel, Gourmet dinner (Saturday night).

“Water Sports Special” from 86 euros per person; the fun of water sports on a yacht with on-board accommodation and your chance to experience sand-yachting, kayak or wind-surfing. Package includes one night hotel half-board, an afternoon on a yacht with accommodation, lessons in sand-yachting, sea kayaking, wind-surfing and dinghy sailing.

“Golf and Ramparts Weekend” from 109 euros per person; weekend package includes an 18 hole green fee at the recently re-landscaped 27 hole golf course and half-board accommodation in an intimate and very comfortable 2 star hotel in the picturesque fortified town of Bergues.

“Fresh Air Weekend” from 87 euros per person; get a taste of the authentic atmosphere of one of the last fishing ports of France on the banks of the River Aa. Package includes a visit and tasting at an artisan fish smokery, museum visit, one night bed and breakfast or hotel stay and Gourmet (Saturday night) dinner.
