Cape Verde becomes latest holiday hotspot

26th January 2007 Print
Cape Verde Due to phenomenal demand, an additional direct flight has been launched from Gatwick to Sal Island, (one of the 9 Cape Verde Islands) starting on the 8th February 2007.

Destination Portugal is delighted, as the demand for February Holidays to the Cape Verde was undeliverable due to the first aircraft being completely full, and dozens of bookings were subsequently turned away.

Destination Portugal offers “one centre” holidays to no less than 13 properties on Sal Island (including some private apartments which are ideal for families or small groups on a budget), or to 3 properties on Santiago Island, 4 properties on Boavista, 2 on São Vicente and 1 each on Santo Antão, Fogo, Maio and São Nicolau Islands.

Needless to say, multi-island itineraries can be arranged utilizing these Hotels. A ready-made “5 Island Grande Tour” costs between £1,523 and £1,761 per person depending on departure date. This price includes international flights, ferry, inter-island flights, private taxi transfers in all cases, Visa fee, local representation and even includes Gordon Brown’s new “Green Tax”!

A lead-in price for a single centre holiday from Gatwick on Sal is £548 for a self catering apartment and £580 at a 3star Hotel B&B.
