Mediterranean Dive Centre gains accredited status

PADI Gold Palm Resorts of which LykiaWorld is now one, (padi.com) offer quality accommodation, superior service and excellent dive opportunities making them stand out from the rest. Resorts of this caliber focus on memorable dive experiences, customer satisfaction, diver safety and environmental awareness, by going the extra mile to provide professional and outstanding service - from beginning scuba programs to wreck diving.
“We are delighted to receive this accreditation as it recognises not only the resort as a whole but also the excellent quality services we provide for travelling divers,” said Diving Centre Manager Alf Chappell. “However, as a progressive Dive Centre we are continuing to extend our services and aim to grow to our maximum potential and thus working towards becoming a PADI Gold Palm Instructor Development Centre in the near future, “Alf Chappell continued.
The LykiaWorld Diving Centre is open between March and November and offers diving courses for beginners PADI / CMAS right through to very experienced divers who want unusual places to dive or to further their certificates and become instructors.
Divers can dive from the shore at 3 different sites or take the newly refurbished boat holding 30 people to one of the 25 dive sites including caves, spectacular drop-offs, tunnels, a variety of underwater landscapes and some great wreck diving. The main marine life that divers would witness is sting rays, large schools of Barracuda, Trigger Fish, Groupers, Parrot Fish, Octopus, Tuna and Mackerel. Divers may even come across Dolphin and Turtles.
LykiaWorld is also one of the selected resorts to offer diving courses for children which co-ordinate with the Children’s Paradise activities giving 8-12 year olds the opportunity to experience the magic of the Mediterranean Sea.
The diving team consists of instructors (with both PADI and CMAS qualifications) with the ability to teach in 6 different languages including English. The courses start from the Try Dive at €45 to the PADI Divemaster at €668. All equipment can be hired or divers are welcome to use their own.
For those who are just accompanying the divers then they can either go out in the boat with them or experience one of LykiaWorld’s 17 pools, 10 restaurants, 17 tennis courts or just simply while the time away at the Thalasso and Beauty centre whilst their children are fully occupied at Children’s Paradise.
